Taking 500 mg of zinc and arnica for 2 to 3 days prior to treatment may help improve the effectiveness and longevity of neurotoxin treatments.

Avoid Blood Thinning Substances

For 3 days before your appointment, avoid the following if medically appropriate:

• Fish oil supplements

• Vitamin E and other blood thinning vitamins

• Aspirin

• Blood thinning medications

These substances may increase the risk of bruising.

Avoid Alcohol

Do not consume alcohol on the day of your treatment, as alcohol can thin the blood and increase the likelihood of bruising.
